Corner Showers

Corner showers are ideal for small bathrooms but also look good in large bathrooms with features and designs to utilise even the tightest spaces.
This range of showers are specifically constructed to fit into a corner of a bathroom. It is common to see showers located in a corner of a bathroom however a corner shower takes this idea to a higher level. The triangular base corner showers take up less space making them ideal for a small bathroom.
The corner shower base fits into a right-angled corner of a bathroom and the screen or door opens one way or the other to suit the layout out of your bathroom. This space saving range of corner showers is becoming very popular in en-suites or apartment bathrooms. This range may not usually be considered the most attractive of showers but is undoubtedly the most functional. It is common to see corner showers installed in small hotels and B&B’s as they conserve space. Homes that have the luxury of a second bathroom that is fully functional often install corner showers as they fit well in minimal spaces and the installation and material costs are low.
Basic Corner showers are easy and simple to install as they are constructed with fibre glass. The prefabricated structure usually comes with holes for fixtures and a drain already in place. Rather than make use of a sliding door, the entry of a corner shower is usually constructed to swing into the room and may secure with the use of a latch or a series of magnets that create a water resistant seal when the door is closed. Clear fibreglass or Plexiglas is often used for the door side of the stall allowing more natural light to enter the shower.
The corner shower range is available in two varieties and the main difference is drawn down to the type of door used. The flat panel doors cut directly across from one wall to the other. The curved door gives you more room. Most doors are hinged and available in the slider design that is curved for sliding the shower door. Like regular showers corner showers have either a tiled or pre-moulded base. There is one disadvantage and that would be the lack of elbow room in the smaller size corner shower. The curved doors can usually make this range less squeezy however if you have the space go for the larger sized corner showers.
Though this range is commonly known for saving space it does not mean the overall look has to be less elegant.
